Grammy-Winner Matt Redman’s “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)”
Written by Christi Given | November 15, 2013
This week for my cover song, I chose a very well-known and acclaimed tune, “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord),” by one of the leaders in the Christian/Gospel genre. Matt Redman is known for writing amazing worship ballads, and has penned songs such as “The Heart of Worship,” “Blessed Be Your Name” and more. He also joined Pastor Louie Giglio, his family and Chris Tomlin in planting Passion City Church in Atlanta.
Redman is passionate about worship. Not only has he written songs that are often sung in Christian churches across the U.S., but he also has written some books on worship, which I love! One happens to be The Heart of Worship, which is all about what worship is and HOW we should worship. Redman is a solid musician and songwriter and actually lives out his faith. His latest album, released in September 2013, is called Your Grace Finds Me, available on iTunes.
