Hair Tutorial: How to Create Beautiful, Bouncy Body Waves

This summer, we’re sure you have better things to do with your time than to spend 500 hours styling your hair.

That is why we’re sharing this super quick and easy tutorial to help you create beautiful body waves in no time at all.

Step 1: First, you’ll need to get a one-inch curling iron. These can be purchased from a store like Target, Sally’s, Rite Aid or your local beauty supply store.

Step 2: Next, in order to achieve soft and smooth waves at the end of this process, it’s important that you start with sleek, straight hair. It doesn’t have to be perfect. You just want to start with a smooth palette.

Step 3: Take a small section of hair (not too big, not too small) and prepare yourself to make some magic happen.

DISCLAIMER: The curling iron will get extremely hot. Try to limit all distractions while you are styling your hair or…this may happen:

Step 4: Wrap the small section of hair around the curling iron (be careful not to burn yourself!) and hold it in place for a few seconds. Leave the clamp of the curling iron open, so as not to leave an imprint on your hair. Five seconds is more than enough time to leave the heat on your hair! We don’t want a repeat of this:

Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the remainder of your hair. Once you’re done, you can gently run your fingers through your hair to space out the waves a bit and add a little “oomph” to it.

And that’s it! Now you can head to the beach this summer with a brand-new hairstyle!
