Have You Heard Darius Rucker’s “What God Wants for Christmas”?

Ladies, I am a fan of country music, although I’m more partial to the faith-based songs. One of my favorite artists is Darius Rucker, so I was excited that he released his Christmas album, Home for the Holidays.

The album includes traditional Christmas favorites such as “White Christmas,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” and “Winter Wonderland,” but it also features some original songs. “What God Wants for Christmas” is one of those titles.

When discussing the song, Rucker said, “We just wanted to show that there [are] other sides of Christmas other than you just being with your family and opening gifts and stuff like that. There [are] other things. There [are] other things going on in the world [during] Christmas, and we wanted to show just a little piece of that.”

The following clip is the just-released music video for “What God Wants for Christmas” and it features Rucker’s wife and children, as well as children from Children’s Hospital at Medical University of South Carolina. I hope you enjoy the song and video as much as I did, and that you agree that it’s definitely a Caught Being Godly moment for Darius Rucker.

Ladies, what do you think about this song?

    1. I found this song after Spotify played an ad about country Christmas. I love Darius Rucker, and I love this song! I think it’s so awesome to see popular artists publicly performing about their faith/God in general. One of my favorites for sure!
