Have You Spent Time with God Today?

As Christians, it’s so important to spend time with God. Why? Because it brings us closer to Him!

Spending time with God means more than going to church on Sunday or saying your daily prayers, though. It involves a stronger, more frequent and consistent commitment.

So, do you need to spend more time with God? Try the following!

    1. Find a quiet place where you can sit and read scripture.
    2. Surround yourself with nature and meditate about God and His greatness.
    3. Take a quiet moment to talk to God about your day, your troubles and your blessings.
    4. Do God’s work by serving others!
    5. Keep God with you throughout the day. Think of Him like a friend by your side, guiding you. If you get angry or lose patience, ask Him for peace. If you’re struggling, ask Him for strength. If you keep God with you, you’re more likely to follow His commandments.

Spending time with God will help you strengthen your walk with Him. And when you keep God close by, there’s nothing you can’t accomplish!

Girls, God is amazing! And you’ll truly uplift your day by spending time with Him. Have you spent time with God today? How do you spend time with Him?

    1. Glad I read this article, I have felt like I have been falling from the Lord, I need to spend more time with him 24/7 in contact with him always mindful and thankful towards him. He is my Heavenly Father, I have dissapointed him a lot but he is just and forgiving! <3 , Thank you Lord. God is Love!

    2. I spend time with God 24/7. I am literally obsessed with Him! Here is my advice on how to spend more time with God and how to have a relationship with Him: see Him as you FRIEND because He is and He longs to be your BEST friend. Also, talk to Him in the same way you talk to your friends. Tell Him about your day, your period, ANYTHING. Lastly, make sure that the conversation is never one-sided. God wants to talk to you. Make sure you are open to Him and are listening for His voice, and be attentive to any signs , visions, dreams, etc that He might give you.

    3. i think that this is a great idea, a relationship album. take a photo album and dedicate it to God, and put pictures and write little side notes about the adventures on your walk with him. love you bunches, sisters in Christ! God bless! <3 (:

    4. just pray. tell all your concerns to God. pray, give thanks, reflect on your day. being real with God is one of the main ways, besides reading Scripture and getting feedback from others, that I improve myself. It’s easy, costs nothing, and can be done anywhere! Hope this helped 🙂

    5. What I love to do when I want to have some intimate time with God is I would go in my room and play Hillsong albums on my computer and just let worship flow from within me to God, just praising him. It renews my spirit and I feel his Holy Spirit there with me. Even if I’m at school or someplace else, I just think of songs in my head (can you tell that I love worship yet) and that same feelings of peace will come meet me wherever I am. Hope this helps:)

    6. God definitely needs to be your best friend. I read a narrative once that was about a girl receiving a phone call from God where he asked why they haven’t talked in a while. She came up with all kinds of excuses on how busy she was and said she thought He was all knowing. If He already knew everything about her life, why should she have to tell Him? He then mentioned her best friend Katie winning a basketball game the previous week. He proposed that if she had already heard about the game from other people, wouldn’t she still want Katie to want to rush to her and give her the news herself?
God wants to be your friend. He wants you to come to Him with every joy, heartache, update and question that enters your life. If we spent half as much time connecting with our Lord as we did updating our Facebook status, we would grow immensely in our Faith.
