Hillsong United Releases New Surprise Album “Wonder”

Hillsong United, one of the popular youth bands from Hillsong Church in Australia, just recently released a surprise album called Wonder. The record will be available starting June 9, 2017, but you can pre-order it online. This album is the sixth studio recording the band has done, and is following Zion and Empires, some of the top albums United has released.

“Have we lost the ‘wonder?’ The hope, the imagination to dream, to believe, the tenderness to listen and lead first with mercy, the grace to empathize, the courage to trust, the fearlessness to love without pretense or condition. To see beyond the facts without dismissing them. To respond beyond the fear without reciprocating it. To sing beyond the noise, without adding to it. This is the challenge, and this is what worship—if worship can be summed up as an expression of art and music and story—is ultimately designed to do. To elevate the conversation, re-awaken the soul to something other, and lift our eyes to the wonder of a superlative truth.” —Joel Houston (lead singer of Hillsong United)

Some of tracks off the album areShadow Step,” “Future Marches In,” “So Will I (100 Billion X),” “Splinters and Stones,” “Glimmer in the Dust,” “Shape of Your Heart,” “Rain/Reign” and “Water to Wine.”

Hillsong United by far is my favorite worship band, and has definitely kept me in the faith with words of truth as well as the modern style of music since I was a teenager. I highly recommend you check out their albums, as they are multi-platinum, Billboard chart-topping releases, but the band members are very humble and live out what they speak.

I had the honor of actually meeting the band members during the Let Hope Rise (PURE FLIX) movie premiere in Los Angeles with Hillsong Channel. The band is not only making a major impact on culture and society, but the church is also globally impacting the world with the message of the Gospel. Go to or download the free app for more information on finding a local church near you.

Check out the Hillsong Channel or check your local network to watch it on television. The channel streams live worship, sermons and conferences to encourage the viewer. The Hillsong church has definitely made a mark on technology, social media, TV and even in film. Let us continue to support these ministries so we can see a culture shift in our generation, amen?
