Written by Christi Given | February 20, 2017
There were many Christian and gospel artists who were nominated for the 59th annual Grammy Awards!
In the Gospel and Contemporary Christian music field, Tamela Mann and Kirk Franklin won for the “Best Gospel Performance Song” for “God Provides.”
In the category of Christian music and performance song, Lauren Daigle was nominated, along with For King and Country, Natalie Grant and more! The winner for “Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance Song” went to Hillary Scott (from Lady Antebellum) and the Scott Family for “Thy Will.”
For the Best Gospel Album, Kirk Franklin won for Losing My Religion, and for the best Contemporary Christian Music Album, All Sons and Daughters was nominated, along with Crowder, Natalie Grant and Hillsong’s Young and Free band. The winner for this category was, yet again, Hillary Scott & the Scott Family band. The song “Thy Will” became a chart topper this past year from the album Love Remains, so make sure to check it out! Congrats to Hillary Scott and the Scott Family band!
