Every day we are bombarded with lies from the world around us.
“You’re not pretty enough.”
“You’re not smart enough.”
“You are not loved.”
There are countless lies we are believing every day, and each and everyone goes against what God tells us in the Bible.
Mark 1:35 says,
“Jesus cured many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons. But he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew who he really was.”
I believe we get to do the same. We get to speak truth and love and grace and freedom over ourselves. We get to say ‘be quiet’ to the enemy because he has no place in our hearts or minds.
Here is the reason we are going to declare the truth: because we have a very real enemy that is whispering lies in our ears; BUT we have an even bigger God, that calls us to stand firm – being rooted in His Word and immovable in His truth.
Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour. But resist him, be firm in your faith [against his attack—rooted, established, immovable], knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being experienced by your brothers and sisters throughout the world. [You do not suffer alone.] 1 Peter 5:8-9 AMP
These are some of the many lies we are all believing every day – so let’s speak some truth over them. I created a free printable for you to download, I wrote out a lie, the truth, and what God’s Word says.
