Growing up, I was well aware that boys paid attention to the prettier girls—not to me. All through my teen years and into my twenties, I couldn’t seem to make friends with the girl in the mirror. She just…wasn’t good enough. Or so I thought. It’s only been in recent years that I’ve finally come to like and enjoy the body I’ve been given.
