I Love Newworldson’s Music Video for “Learning to Be the Light”

I’ve added a new Christian band to my favorites list! Newworldson is a Canadian band that debuted in 2006 with its album “Roots Revolution.”

I actually found out I liked Newworldson before I even realized it when I fell in love with another one of their songs, “There Is a Way.”

Described as a rock/soul band, Newworldson offers a fresh new sound that incorporates a fantastic mix of styles, including Jazz, Blues and Reggae. And the spirit of Christ is alive and so strong in each and every song.

Take a look at Newworldson’s music video for “Learning to Be the Light.” The song is from the upcoming album “Rebel Transmission.”

The sound is not the only thing I love–I also feel that their lyrics are so sincere and motivating. They have the power to renew faith in millions, and based on some of the feedback I’ve read regarding them, they’ve already made such a positive impact.

When the stars came crashing down
In tiny pieces to the ground
I was all alone down here
    Trapped beneath the atmosphere
Then I, thought somebody called my name
I spun around and caught a flame
    I gave into a God I didn’t know
And now everything is falling into place
A brand new life is calling and I owe it all to grace

It’s so much brighter living in your world
Savior, what you did for me
You gave me something I want everyone to see
When we struggle and it all goes wrong
Only you can make it right
    So I say
    Oh oh oh oh oh
I’m learning to be the light
    whoa, whoa
I’m learning to be the light

Newworldson is truly glorifying God every day and changing lives with every song. “Rebel Transmission” is due to be released on April 17, 2012.

Are you already a fan of Newworldson? If so, which song is your favorite? What do you think about the new song, “Learning to Be the Light”?

    1. I’ve never heard of them before, but they guy is sure a cutie 🙂 And I like the fact that they’re not the typical Christian genre; I don’t really like that sound because it’s just not my style…I can’t listen to it at the moment but I’ll try to remember to later!
