I Wish Katy ‘Perry’ Still Sang Christian Music – Listen to This Song She Recorded 10 Years Ago!

After I read Corrina’s article about Katy Perry, I did some searching on YouTube to find out just what she sang when she was a signed Christian artist, and I have to say I was impressed with her older music!

I would definitely be a fan of Katy Perry if she recorded legitimately uplifting, inspiring songs about God and her faith, but she doesn’t. Anyway, this is my favorite song of hers when she went by her real name, Katy Hudson. It has a beautiful melody, and a jazz twist which I love. Too bad Hollywood has a way of  corrupting people and their values and churning them out to be ‘marketable’ pop stars to gain attention and notoriety. Let me know what you think of this song. 🙂

She wants to be free. She’s sick and tired of being controlled by her parents and being unhappy… Maybe she just doesn’t believe what her parents does. I mean how would you feel if you are christian and was pushed to believe only Buddhism. You would feel very unhappy, wouldn’t you? And Christianity is about respecting everyone else and having love for them, regardless of who they are. Otherwise you are not a true Christian because there is hate in your heart. Only God can judge so you have no right to tell people what is right and wrong. Katy Perry has a good heart, we all go through tough times where we get “lost”. Don’t we??? jeez….

I don’t listen to Katy Perry, but I really like this song. I wish she had held on to her faith. She has so much influence in so many lives, and she is using it in a negative way.

I’m not exactly a Katy Perry fan, but that song was cool!
