If We Follow Christ, Why Don’t We Always Get What We Pray For?

Ladies, as Christians, we’re called to pray and pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Scripture also tells us that if we pray and believe that what we pray for will come true, “it will be yours” (Mark 11:24). However, God doesn’t always answer our prayers! Do you ever wonder why?

The following clip gives an insightful answer to this question.

Ladies, God knows what we want, but He also knows our plan and what we need.

And God doesn’t always just give us what we want. Instead, He blesses us with the ability to make what we want happen. Want to be a singer? Learn how to sing and move toward your goal. Dream of becoming a doctor? Study hard and work toward college and medical school. Dig the ditch! Prepare the fields! Do what you need to do on your end! Then pray, and if it’s truly yours, He will make it happen. Trust in Him!

Ladies, do you ever pray and wait for your prayer to come true? Are you ever discouraged when God doesn’t answer your prayers?

I think that as we continue to grow in our faith with God — as we strive to serve Him and Him only, our wants will be His wants, our hopes will be His hopes, our passions will be His passions to see His Name glorified. I think that He still listens to our worldly wants, and He will bless us with some of them, but others are left in His decisive hands.

If we continue to follow Him, He will provide everything that is good for us!
