If You Could Ask God One Question, What Would It Be?

Ladies, as Christians, we’re asked to trust in God and the plan He has set out for us. But if you had the chance, would you want to ask God a question? Whether about you personally or the world in general, what question you would ask Him if you knew He would answer it?

Often when we’re dealing with a challenge or when we’re standing at a crossroads, not knowing which way to turn, it’s tempting to wish God would just tell us what we want to know.

The following video covers that exact question. What would you ask God? What one question would you just love the answer to? Check it out!

I found this clip so interesting! Many people had the same questions, but some had a hard time thinking of a question on the spot. Additionally, there were some pretty profound questions.

Are we supposed to know the answers to these questions? Or are we to seek the answers as we live our lives? Is God answering these questions, but we’re just not listening hard enough?

So it’s your turn…if you had one question for God and you knew He would answer it, what would it be?

I think my question would be: Why do I struggle with sin so much? Wasn’t I supposed to be free from sin?

I would ask him the same question as that last guy:

    “Why?”

Hey Annabel! Ik this was a LONG time ago and your question was probably answered and you might not see this but I just saw your question. The Bible says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. So pray and confess your sins and except Jesus into your heart! That’s it! I really hope you see this and it helps cause God is truly AMAZING!

    How do you start?
My mom has never really had the time to take us to church, even though she’d love to. After a while, I got confused to whether God was real or not. Or which god to believe in. Now, I’m sure I want to be a Christian, but I don’t know where to start.

I would also ask God what is my purpose and if my parents will ever come to know Jesus and their savior and stop thinking I’m crazy for loving God and believing in him. Yup that’s me!

If I had one question it would just be: God why do I struggle so much and why is my life the way it is? That would answer my questions to: why God is my family the way it is and why I go through so much really hard stuff?

Why He chose me to be the one to share Christ with my uncle? That is the hardest thing I have ever been called to do because we are so close.I haven’t done it yet so please pray that he accepts Jesus as his Savior.

What is my purpose, where will I go? How can I serve you, what should I know?

I couldn’t ask one question. I have a TON I would want to ask, but here are several: What is my purpose?, Where will I live? What good will come out of my family suffering a house fire three years ago? Why did my grandparents have to die so soon? Why does my mom have so many health problems? Where and when will I meet my husband? (Though it’s kind of nice not to know too). Will I ever have more Christian friends like the one I do have? I have been yearning to know the answers to some of these. I sure hope I do find out some of these answers in this life. Not knowing some of this stuff drives me nuts!!

My question would be, “Why?” I know that sometimes we just can’t understand things, but when some bad things started to happen in my life, I just wanted to know why.

Love this! And I agree with Amanda- Ultimately, I don’t think I would really want to know the answer, though I sometimes wish I knew. I’ve heard before that we probably couldn’t handle it all at a glance and that God protects us by not burdening us with our future worries and excitements. 🙂

God showed me that sometimes His answer for us is “because I said so” because we couldn’t handle hearing His whole plan. (I actually wrote about this on my blog). I think there are times where I want to ask what the exact purpose is in my pain, but if I am honest with myself I don’t really want to know, because it won’t help me. Knowing why just means I know how God is using me, but that doesn’t help me (in fact, I could see myself becoming bitter for being “used”). I am trusting the I behind “because I said so” I know His plans are for the best.
