I’m Loving This: All Sons & Daughters

Hi PI girls! I wanted to share with you an amazing musical duo called All Sons & Daughters. They’re an acoustic folk Christian band comprising David Leonard and Leslie Jordan from Tennessee. The dynamic duo met in their church and wrote worship music, and ultimately ended up signing a recording contract with Integrity Music in October of 2010.

Their first EP, “Brokenness Aside,” was released in May 2011 and featured songs such as “Alive,” “All the Poor and Powerless,” “Your Glory” and more. Their next EP (released in January 2012) was “Reason to Sing,” which is also the name of one of my favorite songs of theirs. The lyrics are so powerful and emotional.

In 2011 the group released “Prone to Wander: A Collection of Hymns” as independent artists. They also released their full album, “Season One,” in March 2012. It contains some of the popular songs off their shorter releases.

The pair wrote more music this past year, also releasing “The Longing”  in September 2012. Some of the tracks are Oh How I Need You,” “Called Me Higher,” and “Hear the Sound.” The band is set to release another project called “Live” sometime in April 2013.

When doing research on All Sons & Daughters, I came across this old song “Give Me Jesus” that the band did as a duet. It is so special, beautiful and touching. This song will bless your soul!

If you want to find out more about the band, check out their blog or visit them on Twitter or Facebook.

What is your favorite All Sons & Daughters song? I love “Reason to Sing,” “The Longing,” “Give Me Jesus,” “Nothing But the Blood” and “All the Poor and Powerless.” Comment below and let me know what you think of this awesome worship pair!
