Inspired Alert! Greg Laurie’s Harvest Crusade Tonight!

I am so excited to go to the Harvest Crusade later today with my best friend Christina! She has tried to get me before, but I always didn’t want to bother with it. It sounded boring and lame. Now that I am renewed in Christ and am on fire for the Lord, I am counting the hours until I can be in that packed stadium with many thousands of people hearing the word of God!

What is the Harvest Crusade?

Since 1990, Harvest Ministries have held large-scale evangelistic outreaches around the United States, and in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. More than 4,355,000 people have attended a Harvest event in person, and more than 364,900 people have registered decisions of faith in Jesus Christ. That’s mind boggling how many people God has reached out to through him!

Harvest events are designed to be opportunities for Christians to invite unsaved family members, coworkers, friends, and acquaintances to hear the life-changing message of the gospel in an environment that is entertaining, yet nonthreatening.

Who is Greg Laurie?

Along with his work at Harvest Ministries, Laurie serves on the board of directors of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He holds two honorary doctorates from Biola University and Azusa Pacific University.

He inspires me, because of his incredible strength to keep changing lives and sharing the word of God– even when his first son Christopher died in a fatal car accident in 2008. Yet Greg didn’t let his son’s death stop him. I know that Christopher and Jesus are looking down on him, and giving him strength to carry on the Lord’s purpose for Him.

Laurie has authored several books, including the bestsellers, Hope for Hurting Hearts and Signs of the Times. Other titles include: Married…Happily., Essentials, What Every Christian Needs to Know, and God’s Design for Christian Dating. Laurie has also written several devotional books, including Daily Hope for Hurting Hearts, For Every Season 1–3, and the series Greatest Stories Ever Told 1–3.

The expected amount of people to attend this event is upward of 70,000! It’s so powerful how many people will be saved tonight!

I am so excited to read one of his books. I think I might start with Signs of the Times because I am fascinated with that!

Have you read a Greg Laurie book? Are you going to watch Harvest online?
