#InspiredThanks: BFFs Nicole and Christi on Their Friendship!

PI Girls, in the spirit of gratitude, we’re celebrating everything we’re thankful for this month with our fun #InspiredThanks campaign. And who better to talk about the theme this week, friendship, than PI founder Nicole Weider and PI blogger Christi Given? Check out their inspiring thoughts on their friendship right here.

    Nicole on Christi:

Girls, I know from personal experience how hard it can be sometimes to make good girlfriends. Many times they come and go, or are only with you through the fun and easy times, and when things get rough, they leave. Finding a good friend who is also a Christian can be tough to find in and of itself!

I am so incredibly grateful for Christi, who also happens to work with me on Project Inspired! I have been best friends with her for 11 years now, and it’s amazing because we have been friends with each other through some monumental moments in our lives—like when I got married! She is so kind, truthful, giving and loving, and loves the Lord. One of the reasons I am so close to God now is because when I was lost and sad, she always encouraged me to know more about Jesus. I am so, so happy God aligned our paths and that we became friends! I know she’ll be in my life forever.

    Christi on Nicole:

Nicole and I have been friends since I was 15 years old, and I remember the first day we met! Nicole was new to our high school from Oregon and she was a grade older than me. We ended up having a theatre acting class together and that is how we became such close friends! We would share notes about how she wanted to be a model and an actress, and I wanted to be a singer.

It’s so amazing to see how far God has brought us, not only in our close friendship that is so precious to me, but also how far along we’ve come in our relationship with the Lord. It is an honor to help pour into the lives of the youth and to share God’s light with my dearest friend. I am truly thankful from the bottom of my heart. God really does answer prayers and does Ephesians 3:20 in our lives if we believe! 🙂

PI Girls, tell us all about your BFFs and why you’re thankful for them! Plus, don’t forget to post a pic on Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest with the hashtag #InspiredThanks to share everything you’re thankful for with the PI community!

    1. I have known my girl friend for 5 years now. No matter how rare we see each other or how rare we talk, but there is always that link that cant be broken. I have 4 sister, and no one has ever been closer to me than them until I met that girl who is now my best fiend. Throughout our friendship, we never really bothered about the fact “oh you’re my best friend! i love you!” no.. we just…lived, trusting each other:) we’ve learned to say the truth to the face, to be there through the hard times. And only recently I realized that she is Gods gift in my life. She will always stay in my heart. No matter what happens.

    2. I’ve only known my best friend for a little over two years, but I feel like I’ve known her forever. We share so many interests and are so alike in many ways, but complete opposites at the same time! I’m a brunette, she’s blonde, I’m tall, she’s a bit shorter then me, she has blue-green eyes, I have hazel… Totally different and yet completely the same. I can talk to her without feeling judged, I can trust her to keep my secrets and yet tell someone if she thinks she absolutely needs too. I’m also close to her little sister (who my little sister is friends with), who’s like a second younger sister to me. I also feel like her mom and dad are like a second set of parents. So in conclusion, my best friend is basically my sister from another mister. ;D
