Interview With Justin Bieber’s Pastor Chad Veach, Author of “Faith Forward Future”

Recently, I interviewed author and pastor Chad Veach of the Los Angeles church Zoe, (which means “abundant life” in Greek), located at the El Rey Theatre. Veach wrote his second book, Faith Forward Future: Moving Past Your Disappointments, Delays and Destructive Thinking, which discusses his testimony, family, ministry and his outreach to people in Hollywood. Veach has mentored some of the biggest names in Hollywood, such as Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin and more. He has a heart to reach the lost souls to gain salvation in Jesus Christ, whether they’re famous or not.

He said his church, Zoe, is here in Los Angeles to serve, protect and welcome people. In Los Angeles, at times you can feel like people are trying to use you for connections or to get to the next step up in their career. In the KKLA and K-Praise radio interview, Veach said that many people “monetize” and “leverage,” others especially in Hollywood. Veach said the church will never leverage (or use) you, and should never monetize you.

He really has a heart for the Gospel, as well as for his family. His daughter Georgia has been known as a miracle in his world, and she has survived a disease called the “smooth brain,” a rare condition where the brain doesn’t fully develop. His daughter recently turned six years old and has inspired millions. Little Georgia inspired Veach’s friend to get a “G” tattoo, which started “the G tat movement,” where even a famous athlete said he got the tat to remember to pray for Georgia, to believe in healing, to have faith in God for miracles and to remember to pray for others’ healings.

Not only has Veach inspired so many people in his church and as a youth pastor (prior to building his church) in the L.A. area with his wife, Julia, but he also has influenced the influencers in the media. I would say he is culturally relevant, hip, relatable and just a normal guy willing to be used by God in a big way.

Make sure to check out his church if you are in the Los Angeles area, and to check out his other book as well, Unreasonable Hope, about “finding faith in the God who brings purpose to your pain.”

A prayer for victims of rape, and refugees, especially of Syria and myanmar. These issues have been lying heavily on my heart, which hurts, but I’m glad that it reminds me to pray. For with prayer comes action and healing. In God’s name.
