It’s National Prayer Day! Watch These 5 Great Movie Clips Featuring Prayers

Prayer is one of the most important aspects of our faith. Below are some examples of prayer that so many of us do on a daily basis. In honor of National Day of Prayer, we thought it would be fun to show these in movie-clip form!

Rudy – “Waiting on God”

We’ve all been there—waiting on God to answer our prayers. But, just as this clip suggests, we pray in our time, God answers in His time. Just an important reminder to us all!

Bruce Almighty – “Surrendering to God’s Will”

One of the hardest things to do is pray to God in which you surrender yourself to His will. In order to practice true faith, we must fully submit to God and trust that His will is the perfect thing for us.

The Apostle – “Accepting the Lord”

One of the most IMPORTANT prayers we as Christians will ever make is that of accepting Christ as our Lord and Savior. Have you made that prayer? Watch this powerful video clip (warning: there is some blood)!

It’s a Wonderful Life – “Praying for God’s Help”

We all pray for God to help us in situations that are beyond our control. Remember that as a Christian, life isn’t perfect. Asking for God to intervene is an important practice and a reminder of who truly is in control!

Faith Like Potatoes – “Pray for Rain”

When we pray, God moves. This video clip is a reminder to PRAISE God, too! It’s a prayer and something we should be doing as much as we pray for help. God is good ALL the time!

Likewise, ladies don’t forget to pray for the girls (over 200) who were abducted in Nigeria. #BringOurGirlsBack Please also use this hashtag on your various social media accounts to spread the word. Our faith in Christ can move mountains and it will if we stand together as one to pray for their deliverance from the hand of the enemy. They need our prayers more than anything else, because we serve an all powerful and omnipotent God who can deliver them!

    God Bless You!
