January Book Club: “One God, One Plan, One Life”

To all my beautiful Project Inspired Book Club Girls,

I hope you had a really wonderful Christmas and that you are looking forward to what God is going to do in your life in the New Year! I know I am. I think 2014 is going to be the best year yet, and I really hope you will continue to join me each month as read books that teach us, encourage us, and help us live out God’s Word in our lives.

To jump into the new year right, in January we are going to read the one-year devotional  One God, One Plan, One Life by Max Lucado. In this book, Max shares a Bible verse and then a few thoughts about that verse to get us focused each day on Jesus and His Word. Then he gives one final thought each day that become s a challenge for us to live that verse out.

Max Lucado is a pastor and a very famous author because he writes and talks in a way that makes him easy to understand and makes the Bible come alive in our lives today. Although One God, One Plan, One Life will only be our book club selection in January, I hope you will read it and let it bring you closer to Christ all year long. You won’t want to miss entries like this one about patience on September 29:

“Do you pray when you’re feeling impatient? When the pace of life leaves you stamping your feet, talking to God is always a good idea. He’s the One who can tell you if it’s time to plunge ahead or pull back. You just have to take the time to hear His answer.”

What are you praying for as we head into 2014? The team at Project Inspired and I would like to pray with you and for you. Share your thoughts and requests with us in the Girl Talk Forums, and please join me as we read One God, One Plan, One Life. And tell your friends to join us too. Everything’s more fun when we do it together. You’ll be so glad you did! You can find One God, One Plan, One Life at your local Christian bookstore, or you can order it here.

    Blessings, my sweet girls,

    Nicole
