Are you surfing the channels and unsure what you can watch that is positive and will add to your life? Does it seem like every other show is filled with deceit, gossip, negativity and foul language?
About two years ago, I found a channel called JCTV. It’s filled with positive music and Christian messages that give hope, and it presents the gospel in a hip, unique way! I love JCTV and have even had an opportunity to host a show with them! The network that heads JCTV is TBN ( also known as the “Trinity Broadcasting Network”).
God is moving not only in Hollywood but in TV, film, and music in general. Christian artists like Lecrae, Beckah Shae, Switchfoot, and others are making a difference in our secular culture. JCTV is one of the few Christian music video channels. One of the shows it features is “Top 3,” a talk show that is hosted by Reba Toney (95.9 FM the Fish), singer Larissa Lam, Rich Wilkerson Jr. and others.
Special musical guests appear on “Top 3” and there is always a neat story or testimony that impacts the viewer. Recently, Soul Surfer’s Bethany Hamilton was on the show. She discussed her book, film and what God is doing in her life.
Another JCTV show is “Newsblast,” hosted by Melissa Nunally. The show features Christian news that is hitting the airwaves. Its stories include faith in the Christian world, music updates, and even fun, humorous stories that air during the “Top 3” commercial breaks. “Rewind” is a show that rewinds the music videos that are topping the charts and information based on the song or the artist.
“Cruise for a Cause” is similar to the “Real World,” but of course encompassing the Christian faith, and is about the mission of sharing Christ with others. JCTV also airs extreme sports shows, game shows, award shows, films, and music videos.

Even if you don’t have the network, you can watch it live on www.JCTV.org , or you can check for the stations on your dish! The website includes free streaming and the schedule and networks that support JCTV, as well as news blurbs and daily devotions.
