Me Without Makeup
Written by Project Inspired | April 11, 2012
I have never worn makeup except for Halloween once and once I put it on for dress-up. I personally don’t think I need it because everyone is beautiful in their own way! Also, everyone is NOT perfect, do not believe the world when they say there are “perfect” people and you have to be “just like them.” Each person is unique, and no one could be “just like another person.” Everyone has different beauty strong points, and some people wish that they were like other people. I feel that a lot because of my hair. My hair is curly and puffy and frizzy. I usually end up flatironing it occasionally, but most of the time I just put it up in a ponytail or a braid because otherwise my hair covers my whole head xD. But seriously, even though I agonize over my hair a lot, IT’S NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL. I have been told that I have nice eyebrows because they’re really dark and most natural blondes don’t have dark eyebrows. This is what we should focus on – our perfections, not our imperfections.
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. –Proverbs 31:30
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of you inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. -1 Peter 3:3-4
