JUCE Music Insider: Trip Lee, Carrie Underwood, Winter Jam Tour News and More!

Hey PI Girls, here is some music news from my news show through JUCE TV called “JUCE MUSIC INSIDER.” Check out the show for more Christian music news! Subscribe at youtube.com/JUCETVNetwork and watch behind-the-scenes music interviews and more!

Trip Lee released his latest album in October 2014 called Rise. The album hit #1 on the Christian/Gospel music charts on iTunes and on the top 20 for Billboard! In a recent interview, Trip talked about the meaning behind his album and the message behind it. He said, “The album has a lot of different meanings. It’s a call to action to rise from the dead and actually live….” Check out Trip’s album on iTunes and in family Christian stores.

In movie and television news, film producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey announced that they will be releasing their latest project, continuing the “Bible series” on television with A.D. The new series will air on NBC in spring 2015, and it’s the stories in the Bible after the death of Jesus. These wonderful producers also helped direct and create the film Son of God, a story of the life of Christ, which hadn’t been released or really told since The Passion of the Christ about a decade ago. The film was successful and many lives were touched.

Next in music news: Some of you may have read my article on Carrie Underwood‘s new song “Something in the Water,” referring to faith and baptism. Carrie hasn’t released a song this bold about her faith, really, since “Jesus Take the Wheel.” The American Idol winner sure has shined her light in a dark industry, but has remained true to her beliefs and has stuck in the secular world of music, particularly in the country music genre.

Check out the official music video on her YouTube channel, which premiered the first week in November, the same week as the Country Music Awards. Click here to read the article about Carrie’s new baptism song, “Something in the Water.”

Christian girl pop group 1 Girl Nation released their Christmas EP called A Very 1 Girl Nation Christmas on October 7, 2014. Some of the songs are covers of classy Christmas songs. They do have an original or two, and a mash-up mix of some of your favorites! Go to iTunes to get the Christmas EP or buy it at your local Christian bookstore.

Some of the songs they cover are “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “1GN Christmas Mash-up Mix,” an original song called “Joy” and more! Go to iTunes now to purchase the EP and get into the Christmas spirit!

Final story in Christian music news: The annual Winter Jam Tour has begun, and headlining the tour are some of your favorites. Here’s a sample of some of the music lineup this year: Hillsong’s Young and Free band, Francesca Battistelli, the band Disciple, Colton Dixon, Veridia, Everfound and more! The Midwest/East Coast tour is happening January 2 through March 29, 2015. Go to www.jamtour.com for the full lineup and locations. Tickets are only $10, which is a great deal!
