Happy Summer to all my Golden Girls!
Woo-Hoo! Summertime is here! What are your exciting summer plans? Are you heading for the beach? The mountains? Or just looking forward to some long days with friends and family?
I know you’re probably ready for a summer brain break, but I hope you will still join me in this month’s Book Club reading. We should study God’s Word all the time and keep learning from the great writers He has inspired, no matter what season it is or what else is going on in our lives. We need to keep growing in our faith, and it’s better to do it together. After all, we’re sisters who need each other’s encouragement, right?
That’s why I hope you’re going to join me reading this month’s Book Club selection, 7 Steps to Knowing, Doing and Experiencing the Will of God (for Teens) by Tom, Michael and Daniel Blackaby.
2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” I think that means we should always study the Bible, our handbook for life, and some of the great Christian writers who can help us understand it better, so that we can know more about God and His will for us. That’s where this month’s Book Club selection comes in.
Have you ever wanted to truly hear God’s voice? Do you think He is telling you which way to go sometimes, but you’re not totally sure? The Blackabys are famous around the world for teaching people about the will of God and how to discover it in their own lives. I think their new book 7 Steps to Knowing, Doing and Experiencing the Will of God (for Teens) is a great tool for us.
So even though lazy summer days are upon us, don’t take a break from your relationship with Jesus. Be faithful to keep learning about Him every day. I’m learning too, so let’s discover more about Him together by joining me in this month’s Book Club reading and discussion.
You can buy 7 Steps to Knowing, Doing and Experiencing the Will of God (for Teens) here, or check with your local Christian bookstore.
Have a very blessed summer, all my Golden Girls!
