For a long time I thought I could only be beautiful if I wore tons of makeup, especially around the eyes. I was first allowed to wear makeup when I was 12, and believe me, I USED it. I might even say I abused it. I disobeyed my mom when she asked me (several times) to lighten my load, and by doing so I also disobeyed God. I’ve come a long way in three years, and now I know that God made me this way for a reason. Whatever that reason may be, I will not change myself for anything except for Him. He is my truth, my way, and my light, and I will never forget that He has made me in His image. Not mine. I’m happy to be 5’1” with light brown hair and that I’m forever pale! 😛 I now hardly ever wear makeup except for events, and even then, very light amounts. I think every girl should think she’s beautiful no matter what! Our Father has designed us the way that He wants us to be! (P.S. A guy I know once said that his definition of “pretty” was when a girl looks good with makeup. “Beautiful” is when she looks good without it too! And don’t we all want to be considered beautiful?)
We here at Project Inspired want to guide and inspire teen girls to be true to themselves and to God. We want to show young girls how to be people of value and confidence – how to be your own best selves – through leading a Christian life. Who are we? We're a team of girls, like you. We edit the site, we post to social media, we hang out in the chat rooms and forums. We talk with you, we listen to you, and we love you!
