My dad has always had a thing against makeup. At first, it made me upset that I wasn’t allowed to wear it… but then, I began to understand that we don’t need to wear a mask to be beautiful. The true beauty comes from what is really there. I’ve come to realize that I have wonderfully big, brown eyes that squint when I smile, and what’s even funnier is that the shape of my eyes is the one significant physical trait that my dad had passed on to me. We shouldn’t cover up God’s masterpiece.
