Leah Pipes Rocks Floral and Pearls and We Match Last Week’s Modest Favorite!
Written by T.M. Gaouette | July 21, 2014
Ladies, although modesty seems to be a big thing on the Internet these days, I’m not seeing much of it in the clothing stores. Are you?
It can take creativity and time to take a dress that’s immodest in design and make it more modest. So wouldn’t it be great to find a store where the fashions are already modest? One of my favorite stores is Lands’ End. Many of their clothes are modest in design for all ages, for both girls and guys. And their selections are so adorable! Do you have a favorite store where you shop for modest fashion? Share your picks below, as well as cool tips for turning immodest outfits into modest ensembles. We’d love to hear from you!
Now for this week’s selection!
This is a lovely dress for the summer. I like the white lace look throughout, and the way the simple pencil skirt design is enhanced with a cute gathering at the waist.
This is a unique-looking dress. The leather creates a fun, futuristic feel. I love how the blue and silver stripes down the front break up the black throughout.
Now for our modest matchup!
Last week, Greer Grammer’s fun flamingo pink dress won our Modest Is Hottest poll, so I went in search of a similar dress that could help you get her look!
Okay, so I found tons of dresses that were pretty close to Greer’s dress style and color, but they were all extremely short! This maxi dress was the next best thing. Its color is paler than Greer’s dress, but the style shares the sleeveless and gathered-waist features, as well as the soft chiffon feel. This dress can be worn for an outside formal event, but you can also dress it down with a lightweight cardigan.
