Life Is Full of God-Incidences…Just Start Looking!

There’s a word I use in my upcoming book to describe the ways God has shown up in my life: God-incidences. They are the little moments that maybe most of the world would call “coincidences,” but to me they were definitely moments when God let me know He was there just for me. There are God-incidences in your life, too. Just ask God to show Himself to you, and then start looking!

Here are four of the top God-incidences in my life:

    1. One day, I was having trouble with my teacher and I was really frustrated and felt misunderstood. I prayed for help and felt like God whispered to me to look inside my jeans. I thought that was a little weird, but when I looked at the tag of my jeans, it said “God loves you” on it. I still have those jeans to this day.

    I couldn’t believe it when I saw this! 🙂

    God loves you jeans!

    2. At one of my lowest points, in the midst of depression, I finally pulled out the Purpose-Driven Life book my friend Christina had given       me. I was broke, desperate, and even contemplating suicide. When I opened the book, $40 fell out of the middle of it. I called Christina and    she said it was not hers. To this day, we have no idea how it got there, but it was a definite God-incidence that showed I was not forgotten

    3. When I did not know God and did not think He cared about me, I read a book by Sheri Rose Shepherd called His Princess. It talks about us being His chosen daughters, His princesses. It told me I was loved. It really touched me. Not too long after that, my friend Christina and I got the opportunity to go to a Sheri Rose Shepherd conference. We really wanted to buy her new book there, but didn’t have enough money. Well, wouldn’t you know we ran into Sheri herself, and she gave us the book!

    4. For some reason, a couple of years ago I kept seeing the number 11/11/11 everywhere. I would see it on signs, flyers. I just kept seeing 11/11/11. Little did I know then that Eric and I would get married on that day. November 11, 2011—11/11/11—became a day that would change my life forever.

    1. Wow Nicole, well a God incidence that I recently had was when I wanted to my mom something out of nowhere. Because of that I had to pass next to a church that’s near my building, when I couldn’t find what I needed at the store,I walked back and a guy from the front of the church stopped me, he is a profet, at that time I hurt, brokenhearted, and felt my life empty and only full of problems. The profet was used by the Lord that night and he started telling me’God is with you, you felt alone your whole life but God wants you to know that he never left you’ . I started crying at that point, surrendering to Jesus, after the profit began telling me my whole life specifically, save everything God protected me from. This was like 4 weeks ago, after I went inside the church,I felt God moving inside me and for the first time,I felt new born, changed and beautiful. Now I go to church lead a new pure life, and am now abstinent. I’m glad God led me to your site Nicole, thank you for this article:)

    2. I shared this one a while back, but it’s worth it.
A God-incidence was when I was at youth group and one of my friends asked if he could share a vision that he had that God said was me.
He said that there was a body of water and a ballet slipper. As the slipper touched the water with the tip, it backed away.
My friend said that I was the slipper. I want to do many things, but I’m just too afraid to do it (which was true at the time).
A couple minutes after he left, I started to feel something happen inside of me. After sitting on a chair, I collapsed onto the floor and my head was on a friend’s lap while all of the girls were praying for me.
Ten minutes later, I woke up finding that my feet, socks, and shoes were wet.
When I looked around, there was nothing that could have made them wet. They were just there. Wet and ready to walk.

    3. I can relate to number #2 🙂

Well for MANY years I wanted a bunny, Iv already been called the zoo keeper because of all the animals I have. I told myself after my hamster dies, thats when I will get a bunny. I was VERY depressed when my hamster died (RIP scruffles) but 2 days before he died, God was showing me bunny clouds in the sky and I just smiled thinking it was to show me whats about to happen. So When my hamster died 2 days later, my aunt and I started looking for a bunny on craigslist, ofcourse we found one but my problem was it was $20 and I didnt have any money except coins in my piggy bank. At the tijme I was doing laundry at my aunts and found a $20 bill in me and my dad’s laundry. Me and my dad at the time were broke so I had no idea how $20 came out of no where. My dad didnt care if I used the money but when I called the owner she said she would need $20 for gas! I thought to myself, ”it would be a miracle for another $20 to pop up” so when I got home I took all my coins and surely enough there was $20 in change EXACTLY! So I got my bunny and now he’s spoiled rotton 🙂 GOD IS GOOD! TRUST IN HIM!

    4. Last month this summer I was upset how all my friends were doing fun things and I was just sitting around being bored. One of the things I really wanted to do this summer was go to the beach and hang out with my friends. Afew days later my best friend asked if I wanted to go to the beach with her that day. I was soo excited!!! I thank God so much for all he has done for me
