Listen to Leeland’s “Tears of The Saints” for Inspiration!

Leeland is a Grammy-nominated Christian band that makes powerful music. The group began with the siblings of the Leeland family. You can learn more about the band and its latest album, “The Great Awakening,” from the Leeland website:

Lead singer Leeland Mooring and brother Jack Mooring are joined by 18-year-old new member (and younger sister) Shelly, along with drummer Mike Smith, to bring 11 new modern songs inspired by historical ‘fathers of the faith’— men like theologian Jonathan Edwards and Salvation Army founder William Booth, whose depth of belief and passion for God started an uprising of faith wherever they went. The Mooring siblings grew up learning about such spiritual giants from their parents while riding around the country in an old Lincoln Town Car; mom and dad led worship for traveling evangelists. Younger sister Shelly was there in the backseat, too, duly influenced by the Mooring family’s focus and energy.

Recently, my church did a Miracle offering and the worship team sang Leeland’s “Tears of The Saints.” I had to share this powerful and touching song from the album “Sound of Melodies.” I hope it inspires you to change the world we live in and to be a bright, shining light for Jesus. We are called to help the orphans, widows, homeless and those in need. Our generation needs hope, love and the truth! Let us rise together and make a difference!

Here is my servant, whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations (Matthew 12:18).

    Listen to the song here:

    Here is the song’s lyrics:

    There are many prodigal sons
On our city streets they run
    Searching for shelter
    There are homes broken down
People’s hopes have fallen to the ground
    From failures

    This is an emergency!

There are tears from the saints
    For the lost and unsaved
We’re crying for them come back home
We’re crying for them come back home
And all your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home

There are schools full of hatred
    Even churches have forsaken
    Love and mercy
    May we see this generation
    In it’s state of desperation
    For Your glory

    This is an emergency!

    Sinner, reach out your hands!
    Children in Christ you stand!
    Sinner, reach out your hands!
    Children in Christ you stand!

And all Your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home

    1. A song that really inspires me is with everything by School of Worship. LOVE IT!! the first lyrics are, “Open our eyes, to see the things that make your heart cry” :DD look it up on youtube!

    2. Listening to this song, tears began to stream from my eyes. It just really made me look inward and wonder if I’d be willing to “pick up the crippled man.”
I discovered this site because I was looking for inspiration, and when I realized it was a Christian site and read some of the other posts it just spoke to me instantly. It made me realize that I keep forgetting that God is all I need, and putting him first is everything I need to live a life that is full. This song really is powerful, thank you for posting
