PI girls, I recently went to the Shekinah Tribe entertainment label launch!
The gala was in support of Sunu Gonera’s new film Riding With Sugar. His heart is to make change with film and impact not only Hollywood, but also the world. He has a heart of gold and wants to help end worldwide modern slavery that exists through sex trafficking.
Gonera partnered with Kim Biddle, the founder of Saving Innocence, an organization that aims to help end human trafficking and cares for victims. Justin Bieber’s mom Pattie Mallette hosted the event in Beverly Hills.

Prior to the premiere of Gonera’s work, the attendees listened to a personal story of a woman whose daughter was trafficked, which really hit home. This is a real, serious problem and it is something worth fighting against.
Gonera, Mallette and others shared their passion to help use films to raise funds for causes like Saving Innocence and other organizations. Gonera also announced he would be working with other non-profits such as Unlikely Heroes to show people love and bring justice in these dark places.
At the event, several significant celebs appeared to support the cause and show their love: actor Steven Baldwin, famous rapper MC Hammer, Pattie Mallette and more! Many leaders in the Christian community attended as well.
