Me Without Makeup
Written by Project Inspired | April 14, 2012
When I started at a school outside of homeschooling for the first time, I thought I had to be “just like the other girls.” I’ve come to realize, though, that makeup really doesn’t change who I am or what I look like all that much, and I prefer the rosy look of natural colored skin. I cannot stress enough how beautiful each and every girl in this earth is in her own special way that no one else can ever have. No one has the exact same talents, creativity, looks, and personality. It breaks my heart to see girls in my school and youth group who do self harm or put a lot of makeup on to cover up who they are or get into bad relationships because they want to feel valued. Girls have the tendency to feel like we need to cover up who we are to become who everyone else wants us to be, but girls, I’m here to tell you that there is no one else like you, and there never will be. There is a love that we can never understand, and a life just waiting for us to live. So live it up! Enjoy who you are! Let love come when it is supposed to! And bask in His love!
