“Lord I Need You” by Chris Tomlin

This week I am covering the hymn-inspired song “Lord I Need You” by Chris Tomlin (written by Matt Maher, Christy Nockels, Daniel Carlson, Jesse Reeves and Kristian Stanfill). The song is so inspiring and humbling, a beautiful worship song of confession! These are some of my favorite lyrics in the powerful song:

“Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more

Where grace is found is where You are

And where You are, Lord, I am free

Holiness is Christ in me

Yes, where You are, Lord, I am free

Holiness is Christ in me…

Lord, I need you, Oh I Need you,

Every Hour I need you,

My One defense, My righteousness,

Oh God, How I need you…”

PI girls, what are your favorite lyrics in this song? Are you a Chris Tomlin fan?

beautiful job Christi! When you sing it’s so real and you can hear Jesus’ love through your words. Very inspiring!

I love him! my favorite lines are like all but 2 lines stick out… the 1st is – Lord, I need You, oh I need You Every hour I need You (this line I love because I 1st heard this song when it was a horrible day and I heard that line and even though I made it to school 20 mins late and there were so many battles that day it reminded me I need God everyday even when it a bad day) and the 2nd is – Without You I fall apart (it reminds me that I need him to fulfill me not some guy (even though I wish I have a boyfriend) but I need to go to him so he can keep me together)
