Recently, I interviewed singer-songwriter, MC and producer Jason Ferg, who is about to release his new single, “On the Move.” Jason is someone I met at the House of Blues in Hollywood. He was singing a worship song, “From the Inside Out” by Hillsong United, and I knew that was the evidence that God was truly sending warriors to build what I call “Holy-wood.” His uncle Louis Price was there that night as well, from the famous group The Temptations. God is moving in entertainment and media—it is so exciting!
Jason is passionate about giving hope to our generation, and also wants to give people motivation to keep hustling and working on their passions and craft. One way that he builds God’s Kingdom in Hollywood by doing open mic nights in Los Angeles. Jason released his third album, Tribune, and is writing and recording and his fourth album project, set to be released this fall.

Jason can be seen at many open mics around Los Angeles, so make sure to keep up with him on social media @JasonFergMusic and also go to his official website at jasonfergmusic.com.
Please pray for the artists in L.A. who are trying to make a difference. Jason mentioned in the interview that he is friends with the famous artist MAJOR, and that he is a “hope dealer.” We must all shine Christ’s light and we all do so in different ways.
Hollywood isn’t an easy territory to be called to, as the enemy was the worship angel of music. As a singer-songwriter and worship leader myself, I can testify that the warfare can be intense and we must pray for leaders, pastors and front-line warriors. Pray for people in the limelight like Justin Bieber, who is a Christian; pray for people like Katy Perry to come back to the Father as a prodigal and that she feels Christ’s love. Pray for those who are positive role models of purity like Tori Kelly, and that there will be more purity movement leaders on the rise.
If we want to change and shift things for God’s glory from a sexualized culture to a holier, restored environment, we must pray and intercede for those on the front-line positions, and we must also appreciate people who are producing wholesome content and SUPPORT them. Let’s stop clicking on bad YouTube videos and songs. Let’s stop supporting artists who produce vulgar content. Let’s stop watching TV shows that do not inspire us or edify our morals.
Let’s end the injustices of perversion in Hollywood together by supporting godly and moral leaders. Let’s support hip-hop artists like Tedashii, Lecrae, Trip Lee, Pro (Propaganda), Generation Recovery and Jason Ferg. Let’s start buying this music because the consumer has the say! We have the power to change culture! We have a voice in supply and demand. Let us wake up and support what will honor the Lord! God bless you all!
