Modest Fashion on the Red Carpet: 2015 SAG Awards
Written by Julie Partin | January 26, 2015
As we are nearing the end of the 2015 awards season, we bring you the best of the modest, feminine and glamorous fashion from the red carpet. The Screen Actors Guild Awards show is one of Hollywood actors’ favorites to attend. Here are our fashion picks from the SAG Awards this year!
Natalie Dormer: We love the spring pattern and flowy design of Natalie’s gown. Prints don’t always work on dresses, but this one is so artistic and girly. Natalie’s hair looks a bit casual for an awards show, but it goes with the overall bohemian look nicely.
Andrea Riseborough: This pale teal color really complements Andrea’s coloring. We love the interesting bow neckline with shimmer accents and teeny-tiny matching purse.
Amy Ryan: This youthful look would work well at a school formal! Amy’s pink gown manages the difficult task of being fun and classic at the same time!
Naomi Watts: We are not totally sure how we feel about the odd material used at the top of the neckline, but we love the structured deep purple dress and light accent jewelry.
Natasha Lyonne: Natasha’s look is simple and enticing. The silvery shimmer of the top contrasts the no-frills black skirt for a sophisticated feel. Plus, we are obsessed with that clutch!
Felicity Jones: Felicity has been standing out at every awards show this year and has a very consistent style that fits her personality perfectly. This pale pink gown with the unusual cap sleeves seems like it would fit in any decade.
Gretchen Mol: In theory, Gretchen’s dress could come off a little matronly. Something about the sparkly design and sheer movement keeps it chic. We love the silver color and think her stylist did a great job with accessories.
Paula Patton: Paula’s dress is heavily beaded and has such a detailed texture. White, jade and gold create a wonderful color combination. Her neutral makeup is also a nice touch.
Emilia Clarke: This cross-shoulder top reminds us of Felicity’s dress, but the color scheme is completely different. The navy blue and black combination is a bit odd, but we love the regal cape effect!
If you could own any of these dresses, which would you choose?
