Modest on the Red Carpet: 2015 Emmy Awards!
Written by Julie Partin | September 21, 2015
Last night, the 67th Emmy Awards for television shows provided super colorful and fun fashions! Here are a few of our favorite modest red-carpet looks for glam inspiration.
Ellie Kemper – Ellie’s gown is definitely unique and flattering. The pattern looks a little bit like our favorite shower curtain, but she’s still pulling it off beautifully!
Elisabeth Moss – Bright pink was very in this year. Elizabeth’s super feminine and girly look reminds us of “Glam Barbie,” but she looks so gorgeous anyway. We love the side-swept hair as well!
Teyonah Parris – This was probably the biggest dress of the evening. This black and white polka-dot dress isn’t everyone’s style, but Teyonah obviously feels great in it, which is what really matters.
Natasha Lyonne – Not everyone wanted to go for over-the-top colorful. Natasha opted for this fringed black outfit that made us wish we owned this little black dress for our next fancy night out.
Danielle Brooks – We love how bold the choices were last night, and Danielle’s dress was no exception! The cut with the mix of satin and flowing color is a blast.
Kiernan Shipka – Kiernan always looks so put-together and went for (gasp!) pants. Several women did, in fact. Not sure how we feel about the trend since it seems so casual for the occasion, but we do love Kiernan in yellow.
Lady Gaga – Lady Gaga’s fashion doesn’t usually land her on our lists, but she looks so lovely and classic in this simple one-shoulder black gown.
Samira Wiley – What’s fun about changes in streaming television is that we get to see so many fresh faces during awards season. It’s always really exciting to see what type of fashion these actresses are going for. Samira looks stunning in bright pink and we are crazy about the shoulder drape!
Kim Dickens – Kim’s dress plays it a little safe, but hits all the right classic notes. We feel like she could wear this navy dress to lots of occasions.
Jessica Paré – Another feminine and flirty choice, Jessica’s flowing pink gown makes us excited for prom season even though it is forever away! Hmmm…maybe bridesmaid inspiration, then?
Which dress is your favorite? Which look would you wear on the red carpet?
