We rounded up all the gorgeous modest fashion from the biggest award show of them all, the 2015 Academy Awards! There was a definite trend this year of soft shades of whites, blushes, and silvers with very full skirts. Here are our favorite looks from the red carpet!
Felicity Jones – This girl is our awards season modest dresser of the year! She continues to look amazing, feminine, and demure at every event. Her shiny Oscar gown with the detailed top is unlike anything we have seen but still manages to exude old Hollywood glam.
Sienna Miller – Seinna’s dress plays it a little safe with the color black but the cut outs and details are what made us give it a second look. The cut is also very flattering on her figure.
Chloe Grace Moretz – We love how fun and comfortable Chloe’s dress looks! The pattern is curtainish if you look too closely but overall she looks like springtime incarnate. Plus… pockets?!?
Patricia Arquette – The Best Supporting Actress winner’s dress was a little professional feeling but the over-the-shoulder swoop super eye catching.
Octavia Spencer – Octavia’s pastel blue gown hits all the right notes of modest and still extremely flattering. We love the detailed beading in the cinching and train.
Rosamund Pike – Finally someone went for a bright color! Rosamund looks fantastic in this romantic red dress and it is Nicole’s favorite look of the night.
Gina Rodriguez – Here is another ravishing color and perfectly modest enough for any occasion! According to her Twitter, the dress is “sustainable 100% certified peace silk.”
Reese Witherspoon – This simple black and white off-the-shoulder dress has a fantastic silhouette and really could fit in any era!
Julianne Moore – Julianne was the big winner of the evening taking home her first ever Oscar for Best Actress. Her sparkly white dress has a super odd texture close up and after looking at several images still cannot tell what the dark accent beads are. Overall though it comes together nicely with her red hair and lips.
Kelly Osbourne – Kelly has always been one for loud fashion and hair. Her black dress with lacy arms would look great on all body types (with or without the purple hair!)
Viola Davis – Even though this type of neckline and this blush color were both common on the red carpet last night, Viola still looks stands out with her statement necklace and wine lipstick!
Anna Faris – Anna’s gowns all season have been youthful, fun, and refreshingly modest. She also went for sparkly silver but the perfect fit and train make her’s one of our favorites.
