My Beauty Tip of the Day: Give Dry Shampoo a Try

If you want to get rid of greasy hair, but you don’t have time to wash it, give dry shampoo a go. The ingredients in this product soak up the oil quickly and freshen up your hair. I wash my hair every other day so it stays healthier, and on the days off I use Dove dry shampoo.

Cleanliness is so important, girls! King David says:

Cleanse me with hyssop and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow (Psalm 51:7).

although, yes you are right, it is good to stay clean, that verse is WAY out of context, David was talking about God washing his sins away, as seen by the line “wash me and ill be whiter than snow” is also repeated in Isaiah “though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be whiter than snow” David was asking God to clean his soul, asking for forgiveness, a very common theme all through the psalms.

and, as for the old testament laws and such on cleanliness, Jesus talked about that, made it clear, you must wash the inside, be clean inside, before even thinking about the outside, and that if you are clean on the inside, the outside is clean, ” First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.” this verse, is referring to the old laws of having to wash dishes and such in a ceremonial manner, and, as you probably notice, Jesus tore apart a lot of the old laws, all the time, throughout the gospels. in fact, going through, every time the word clean is mentioned, it is talking about spiritual things, your soul being cleansed of sin, even when it says “clean hands” that is saying, I haven’t done wrong. don’t get me wrong, I do believe it is important to be clean, physically, good hygiene, obviously, for health reasons, but, the bible does not talk about physically being clean.

This stuff is awesome, especially when you are traveling! I’m in marching band and I often have a few nights where I’m on a bus and don’t get to shower, this stuff is a miracle worker.

My mom used to use dry shampoo all the time. Then our hair stylist told us that while it may look good on your hair now, it does lasting damage that builds up on your hair over time. So for a while it’s good, but in the long run it’s very bad for your hair.
It doesn’t work for me personally, butmy mom uses baby powder.
Just put some in your hand and spread it lightly through your hair. Spread it well so you can’t see white. See if it helps you with grease!

I’ve tried many dry shampoos, and I’ve found that the best by far is by Batisse! I find mine at Tjmaxx. It’s great because it doesn’t leave a white residue like most dry shampoos do. 🙂

I looked it up and that saying appears to be from Francis Bacon. However, the Bible does command cleanliness (including physical cleanliness) in a lot of the Old Testament laws, so I think cleanliness is definitely important in the Bible. 🙂

No problem! I only found that out because that’s one of the most common ones people think are in the Bible (I was googling it to find the exact verse and reference and found that instead) 🙂

Haha yeah @Marcy, but there is a verse that says cleanliness is next to godliness somewhere:)

While I do believe cleanliness is important, I don’t think that is what that verse means.
