My Favorite Books!

I love to read every night before I go to bed. I also love books so much that I can’t step foot into a Barnes and Noble without buying too many! Here is my collection.

I have the different categories separated into Christianity, beauty/style tips, dating and marriage, and American cinema/Marilyn Monroe. Some of my favorites that I recently have read are How to Reach Your Full Potential for God by Charles Stanley, When the Enemy Strikes by the same author, and Every Young Woman’s Battle by Shannon Ethridge.

It’s so important to make reading a life-long habit.  Try to read a little bit every day! You will expand your mind and learn so much that the web can’t offer you. Have any of you girls read these books? Also, what book(s) do you think I should read? Comment and let me know!

The Divergent trilogy! The first two are out right now and they are just excellent. They could be compared to The Hunger Games in some ways, but in my opinion they are much better. And the author is a Christian. :))

I LOVE Catherine Palmer’s Books! Best one’s are “English Ivy” and “A Kiss of Adventure.” Also, the “Brides of the West” series by Lori Copeland are good light reads. And my favorite, favorite author is Linda Chaikin – “A Day to Remember” series and “Heart of India” series are my favorites! (Mostly because I love Historical Fiction ) (:

I really like this author, Denise Hunter. She writes Contemporary Christian Romance novels, and her books are REALLY hard to put down. They are also realistic, with surprises that will keep you hooked. You should definitely check her out!

I HIGHLY highly HIGHLY recommend The Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne. It really throws modern day life into a Godly perspective (and the life Christ lived). It’s changed my life. That and of course the Bible which will keep me occupied until the day I die lol.

One book I just recently read was “My stubborn heart”. I absolutely loved it…I couldn’t put it down. It’s about a Christian girl who is looking for the right guy. It’s a great christian book and I am positive I will end up reading it again!!!!

If you like kind of scary books Isolation by Travis Thrasher Is a really good book. The author got the idea from some missionaries in a small group he attended.

I don’t like scary books but that was sweet of you to recommend one to me!

My friend has read that book, she said it was truly amazing, and that she cried the whole way through. Another one I’m reading right now is “Choosing to See” by Mary Beth Chapman. There are some really sad parts that I ball my eyes out with. But it is so eye opening..

Marilyn Monroe isn’t exactly the best role model she was a sort of Hollywood hooker, y’all do realize she slept with Kennedy, a married man. So yeah. I was reading a young woman after Gods own Heart, I want to read Girls Gone Wise in a World Gone Wild.

Read ‘The 13th Tribe’ by Robert Liparollo, it blends scripture and adventure into a tale that you never want to put down. ( I may have spelled the last name wrong, sorry)

Oh, one book that you HAVE to read is “Peace Like A Rive” by Leif Enger. It, was, absolutely, AWESOME! It has an incredible Christian message, but was also an extremely well-written fiction novel, as well. Seriously. You have to read it. It has stayed my favorite book for years, it was that good.
