My New Fave Self-Tanner!

Hi Gorgeous girls! So here’s my dilemma:
I have pretty pale legs naturally, and I tend to get bruises a lot! (No matter what I do, if I slightly bang my knee on anything it bruises! No fun.) so I’m always looking for a great self-tanner to give my legs a nice glow, and to camouflage the bruises! I have tried almost everything, and this is my new favorite tanner! It’s by Jergens, and it’s foaming so it glides on very easy and smooth. Within a few hours, you’ll notice more color on your legs and the best part it doesn’t get streaky and it moisturizes your legs very well! Trust me, you’ll love it. You can get it at any CVS/Rite Aid or drugstore near you. It’s roughly $9. So worth it, you’ve gotta try it out! ๐Ÿ™‚

i dont mean to be rude because im also verry pale and get bruises easily but self tanner is really bad for your skin its recently been linked to cancer and i would say to any girls who are plae (as i am a ginger so im vvvvvveeeerrrrrrryyyyyy pale) just embrace it theirs nothing wrong with being pale and why risk it for a silly tan!! pale and healty is the new tan well to me of course!

do u have to go out in the sun for that natural looking glowing tan using the lotion? or do u just put it on. if u have to go out in the sun? then how long? i’ve never tried tanning, but i here about it. And i’m like super pale, and i have varicose veins…it sucks, and i want my legs to look better…idk much about tanning, so ya, i was wondering about if i had to go out in the sun, and if so how long?

Guys, it’s not just about looking tan. I have extremely fair skin and get burnt easily. When I use fake tanners 1. I don’t get burnt as often and 2. I don’t have to tan naturally and harm my skin with UV rays.

I think it`s interesting how now it is so popular to be tan. I must be old-fashioned – I don`t want to be tan, I want to stay pale. I live in southern Florida, and everyone is always amazed that I`ve grown up here my whole life, because I am paler than people north of the equator! But I don`t think there`s anything wrong with self-tanning… definitely way better for your skin than roasting in the sun or going to a booth!

I heard sometimes people have trouble with this product streaking. But an easy way to fix it is to go over it with the lotion. I have the lotion, but I am thinking about getting this too.

In my opinion I love being fair and gave up tanning.I believe in keeping my skin the way God made it.

I think every girl should be happy with how God created them but I don’t think that there is anything wrong with using self-tanners. I use them and I still loved who I was before. I just like being tan. ๐Ÿ™‚

I agree but I don’t think it hurts to mess around every once in a while with fashion/beauty tricks. ๐Ÿ™‚ Btw: I LOVE your username “Beautiful Bride”. I did buy it (it was a smaller can than what I thought it was going to be) and it’s really cool. ๐Ÿ™‚

#1 thing-to-do: Get This Product!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ I have done the lotion but (1) it didn’t smell very good (kinda like sweaty socks) and (2) it would streak. So I’m definately gonna try this!! Thanks Nicole!

gonna go get some tonight im excited !

  18. Posted by on October 26, 2011 at 13:12

Hmm… is it safe? Does it look somewhat natural and not like orange?

    • Posted by Nicole on October 26, 2011 at 22:14

yep it’s safe and it makes your skin look gorgeous!

  19. Posted by on October 25, 2011 at 20:47

Can people of all colors use it?

    • Posted by Nicole on October 26, 2011 at 18:59

yep! There is a fair-medium shade and a darker shade fir darker skin tones! It’s amazing!

  20. Posted by on October 25, 2011 at 18:45

i have a lot of discoloring and scarring on my legs from my eczema. would this help cover those too?

  21. Posted by on October 25, 2011 at 15:08

Oh Nicole…. I feel so sad now. I have beautiful skin… it is pale and beautiful…. and I get bruises really easily. But when you get a bruise and cover it up… that is like covering up God’s wonderful creation! When you get a bruise it shows you are only human and made a mistake! It is a reminder! Don’t cover it up!

Bryna I love how you are saying that we should be proud of our imperfections and I agree ๐Ÿ™‚ however I have dark brown hair so my skin looks really pale and Iuse tanners so that I don’t look super pale. To each their own ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Posted by on October 29, 2011 at 22:30

OMG Bryna, that was a fantastic piece of advise!!! I love it. I never don’t have bruises on my paper white legs but the next time I look at one, I’ll think of this ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Posted by Nicole on October 26, 2011 at 22:21

hmm.. well I don’t like my bruises, and you can still see them even when I use this- It’s not a sin to want to make your legs look nice. But I do see what you’re saying!

  22. Posted by on October 25, 2011 at 13:25

Idk.. I still can’t wrap my head around why people feel the need to be tan. Not saying anything against it…

I’m rather pale and blobby- at least, that’s how I feel when my white legs are sticking out of a swimsuit. I tan because it makes me feel more put-together and neat, and more confident.

I agree with Cassidy. Tans make you look slimmer and more toned and it is nice for people like me who have dark brown hair because then I don’t look super pale ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Posted by on October 25, 2011 at 14:54

i’m very pale naturally, and i’ve never really cared about being tan. several centuries ago, it was very “cool” to be blond and pale. now its cool to be dark haired and tan. fads change. i’d rather not try to fit the world’s standards every passing minute ๐Ÿ™‚

Posted by on February 29, 2012 at 17:14

Just because people use self-tanners does not mean that they are trying to fit the world’s standards. I use self-tanners because I have dark brown hair so I don’t want to look ghostly white. There’s nothing wrong with that.

    • Posted by on October 25, 2011 at 14:35

Being tan makes you look slimmer and more toned and it also hide flaws like bruises or veins ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you do about your hands?

  24. Posted by on October 25, 2011 at 12:51

I will have to try it! my mom has some, it’s not the foaming though. ๐Ÿ™

    • Posted by Nicole on October 25, 2011 at 12:55

I used to use the lotion too, but I’m telling you the foaming one is much better!
