My Saturday Night Out Look!

This weekend I wanted to wear something a little glamorous and very girly.

This dress is great because it has a swing bottom, which reminds me of 50s dresses. I got it at Marciano (it’s a little pricey) but if you want it, here’s the link! My bow belt is also by Marciano, and here it is. I got my black cardigan at Forever 21, and you can find one of these anywhere.

My sparkle heels are Christian Looubutin (I saved my money so I could buy them- I have an obsession, I know). 🙂 But here is an inexpensive alternative by Chinese Laundry that’s just as cute! This outfit is also great because you can wear almost any heels with it, including black, silver, or white.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Hi Nicole, I just clicked on your site for the first time, I noticed the “christian” headline and immediately under it, a picture of your saturday night look, and I hope you prayerfully consider what I’m about to say. My eyes are immediately drawn to your cleavage and see-through top, and I would believe it to be inappropriate to wear around other men. Unfortunately as christians, we are under a scrutiny of a fine microscope, and the message you are sending may not be evident at all. You see, 5 years ago, if I was reading the same thing you are I would call the writer “crazy” and blown out of proportion, but I have learned so much in the last few years and the Lord has opened my eyes to so many things. You see, men don’t see what we see. They struggle with lust hundreds of times a day. MOST of them will never admit it, but I have seen my husband involved in a men’s ministry for several years, and it breaks my heart to listen to the things men have to endure daily. Many men have admitted to struggling at the gym because there are so many women with tight clothing and large breasts with sports bras. When I see you Nicole, I see a beautiful young woman, but a man thinks totally different. They are very visual by nature, and women, for the most part, are created very differently. That’s why old men want young women, because they are very visually stimulated. And not to mention the dirty little secret, pornography. Soooooo many men deal with this secret addiction…pastors and all. I think you are very beautiful, I’ll say it again, but I pray that just a bit of what God has shown me about what men see, you will one day see too.

Hey Anon- you are right, about men struggling with sexual issues and lust after women. I (unfortunately) at times have a larger bustline, and sometimes it’s a little more visible then others. Although I definitely believe in modesty so I won’t tempt other men, I do like dressing up in pretty dresses and looking cute and embracing my femininity. I admit it is a tough line, because you either always wear pants and button down t-shirts with high collars, or you play up your girlyness to a certain degree. Thank you so much for sharing this with me, you really helped open my eyes and I will be more careful. 🙂
