New Faith-Based Film “The Perfect Wave” and Christi Given’s “Holy-wood” Scoop

Did you know Clint Eastwood’s son is an actor? Not only that, but Scott Eastwood is starring in a new faith-based film, The Perfect Wave (A Glimpse Into Eternity), which is the true story of the lead character, Ian McCormack. The story is about Scott Eastwood’s character, Ian, who is on the hunt for the “perfect wave.” The film is about romantic love, jealously, brokenness, victory, motherly love, family, faith, God’s love and adventure.

Style: "114"

From the official site: The Perfect Wave is the true story of Ian McCormack, who grew up surfing the waters of New Zealand. Wanting to dive deeper, Ian sets out on a journey with his best friend that will change his life as they chase the perfect wave. Traveling through Australia, Southeast Asia and Africa, they surf incredible breaks and [find] adventure, looking for the force that drives the world. When Ian meets Annabel, a striking and kindred soul, he abandons his friend on a new quest of love. Jealousy overtakes their love. Broken by his own soul, Ian chases her to an island paradise to win her back.

The film also deals with danger and a near-death experience the lead character faces. There are also heavenly visions that Eastwood’s character encounters, and even Jesus is portrayed in the film.

This faith-filled film is one of the many movies being made in Hollywood—or, as I like to say, “Holy-wood.” There is a definite increase in Christ-centered or positive, Godly films. Some examples include Grace Unplugged (starring AJ Michalka and Jamie Grace), Noah (starring Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly), Exodus: Gods and Kings (with Christian Bale, set to be released in December of this year), The Son of God (starring Roma Downey and by the creators of the History Channel’s The Bible series), Heaven Is for Real, the recently released God’s Not Dead (featuring Kevin Sorbo and Disney’s Shane Harper)…and the list goes on!

I can’t keep up! So many great films and new musical artists—there is a definite rise of Godly creativity! So exciting! We are living in these days where we can experience a great revival and awakening spiritually in our nation and in our culture. Let us be praying for success for these films and protection for the directors, actors and others who are a part of these projects, as well as interceding for the souls of the lives who will be touched by these high-quality major motion pictures. Not all the films I listed are 100 percent accurate, but we can at least be grateful they are pointing people to Jesus and to our Lord. Amen?

Keep Hollywood in your prayers, and if you are interested, keep up with the latest in “Holy-wood” on my blog: www.holywoodscoop.wordpress.com.

God gave me the word “Holy-wood,” which is God basically giving a platform to His chosen people to bring light to a dark industry. Hollywood definitely ISN’T Holy, but we can help change that and make it a better industry! We are God’s people and created creativity! He also created music and all the inventions of television, which He downloaded unto man. We need to be praying for the leaders in the industry, because they influence the world, especially with technology nowadays.

“Holy-wood” is not technically a geographical location, but the entertainment business as a whole, using it as a vehicle and vessel to point people to God! There are so many new things God is doing, with JUCE TV, TBN (Trinity Broadcasting), the Word Network, Christian radio stations on the rise (95.9 The Fish FM in Los Angeles), K-Love radio and more! I hope you can check out some of my posts about the latest in Hollywood, including interviews with Christian artists, other projects and highlights of what God is doing in HOLY-WOOD. God bless you all!

No I haven’t heard of it until now, but I will definitely check it out! And K-Love is one of my favorite radio stations. I also see Smile FM a lot at concerts and stuff.

Sounds good. Funny story: When I was younger, my family had a cat named Clint, and our last name is Eastwood 🙂
