Nicole Continues to Take a Stand Against Cosmopolitan: See Her TV Appearance!

Recently, several retailers confirmed that they will be covering Cosmopolitan behind “blinders” to shield minors from the magazine’s sexual content.

For those of you following PI for several years, you know that Nicole campaigned heavily to have the magazine sold only to adults. Here are just a few of the articles:

Nicole received hundreds of personal letters from PI Girls telling her how reading Cosmo negatively affected them. She started a petition and reached almost 40,000 signatures.
The campaign started by Nicole and PI is still making an impact! She has become the go-to voice concerning this issue.

Be on the look out for Nicole’s other television appearances in the next few weeks as she will be traveling nationwide for her book tour for Project Inspired: Tips and Tricks for Staying True to Who You Are!

Do you agree that the magazine Cosmopolitan should be wrapped and marketing only towards adults?

    1. Nicole! Thanks so much for taking a stand. I know I would’ve been so nervous, and even when that guy was speaking condescendingly, I admire that you stood firm and said what you had to say. Thanks for speaking out! 🙂

    2. Love this! Thanks for taking a stand! Although I do have to agree with the reporter, I think that if we are against Cosmo we should also be against magazines like Maximum, because those also send the message that a women is of no more worth than her body. Except it is sending those messages to men. That is not a whole lot better than women.

Also I think that using recyclable paper to cover these magazines, or keeping them behind the counter and giving them to adults on request would be a great idea, because that wouldn’t harm the eco system.

Anyways, those are my thoughts. You keep up the great work!
