Nicole’s Look for Less: A Modest Chanel Outfit!

Hi gorgeous girls! Want to hear something cool? I was in Beverly Hills getting my nose checkup, and my doctor’s office is right by the famous shopping street Rodeo Drive. So, just for fun, I decided to pop into the Chanel store, look at the clothes and play dress up!

I liked the classiness of the tweed jacket and full pink skirt, but there was no way I was paying so much for an outfit I knew I could easily recreate. And so I left Chanel and went to Forever 21 with a mission. I couldn’t believe it, but I found a purple jacket and purple dress that were almost identical to the Chanel ones! And for 1/100th of the price!

What do you think of this look? It’s a feminine, modest look you could wear to church, on a family outing, or wherever you want to feel dressed up.

The first look is from Chanel:

The second look is from Forever 21, and both pieces were only $10 because they both were on sale!ย

Which trends or looks have you seen in magazines or online that you want me to recreate for less? And if you recreate this look–either with the exact pieces or with something from your own closet–I’d love to see the pics!

I like the Chanel jacket (I wonder how much it costs?) and Forever 21 dress. I don’t buy fast fashion for ethical reasons, though.

The chanel skirt looks really easy to make, but they charge a ton of money for it. Sorry, I can’t look at clothes the same way again ever since I started sewing. lol
I think the length is fine, but that’s by my standards.

I don’t normally like pink, but that dress from Forever 21 is so adorable! I personally think your take is much cuter than the Chanel outfit. <3

I actually think the one from Forever 21 is cuter! I like the pink trim and stronger color on the jacket, and I like the dress style better than the skirt. ๐Ÿ™‚

Anybody have any idea where to shop for a fairly fancy dress? That’s knee length or below and not form fitting? Requirements for something and I went to four different stores to night and couldn’t find anything that worked.

I love it! But I think it should be a bit longer, its just a little to much of an eyeful. Other than that it gorgeous!

I personally like your recreation of the outfit better than the Chanel itself. It’s so much brighter than the Chanel outfit! XD

I like the outfit, but that skirt is waaaay too short! The young gentlemen shouldn’t be seeing that much of a woman’s legs!

I think the length is a debatable subject. Not everyone has the same standards and I don’t think we should criticize someone who has different standards than us. Personally, I think the length is just fine.

I agree the skirt and dress are a little too short… but that doesn’t mean you cant do something about it… maybe some pale pink leggins would help ๐Ÿ™‚
