Our Favorite Modest Emmy Dresses!
Written by Julie Partin | August 28, 2014
The 66th Emmy Awards happened this week and red carpet was refreshingly full of modest looks and lots of bright colors! Here are a few of our favorites from the evening.
Heidi Klum in Zach Posen – This coral dress with cap sleeves and cape hit all the right notes. The look is elegant, flowy and still tailored. Her structured wavy hairstyle and silver accessories add to the youthfulness!
Kiernan Shipka in Antonio Berardi – Kiernan is always so amazing on the red carpet. Her dresses are age-appropriate and she maintains a very unique personal style. This adorable silver cocktail-length gown is eye-catching with intricate beads and a flattering texture. Her shiny strappy heels and classic updo finish off the understated glam.
Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji – Octavia does a great job of showing how to choose a flattering cut. Shades of red were all over the red carpet, but she stood out by combining multiple textures, capped sleeves and a train…and somehow pulling it all off! Plus, we love the white nails, side-swept hair and octagon clutch.
Debra Messing in Angel Sanchez – What we love the most about this dress is the intricate pattern. Deep colors can sometimes come off goth, but Debra’s auburn hair and white clutch help keep the look classy.
Natalie Dormer in J. Mendel – Natalie’s two-tone orange and black gown is so much fun! It’s a little tight, but so cute otherwise. We love the mermaid bottom and large waves in her hair to match!
What do you think, girls? If you got the chance to go to the Emmys, what color would you wear?
