PI Writer and Singer Christi Shares How She Stepped Into Her Purpose on The Cross TV
Written by Christi Given | March 23, 2018
Minister Manuel Johnson, the pastor of Mega Praise Ministries and a local church in Torrance, California, hosts a show on The Cross TV network weekly. Pastor Johnson’s show airs every Thursday at 5 p.m. (PT), and he recently interviewed Project Inspired contributor and singer-worship leader Christi Given. The show featured a 25-minute interview and the official music video of the song “The Other Side (Amazing Grace),” which Christi released through the JUCE TV Network. (JUCE TV Network is an affiliated channel of the Trinity Broadcasting Network.)

PI Girls, what do you hope and dream to do someday? I dreamed of being a singer, songwriter, worship leader and TV host, and dreamed of my song being played on the radio. This is all a reality now and no longer is a dream. In 2017, I desired to write TV tracks or jingles for television shows, and God even opened the door for me to be able to do that through the largest TV music company. Only God is able to make our dreams come true by opening the right doors if we choose to step out in faith.
Remember, if you can dream it, you can do anything! God gave each one of us our unique calling, gave you your gifts and talents. The Lord made you different from others so that you could shine and reflect the light of Christ in your special way with the purpose God gave you.
If you don’t know what you want to do yet with your career or ministry, I encourage you to ask God. He will speak to you, and also he made you a certain way to like specific things. For example, God made me like public speaking, whereas many people hate it. Some people are gifted with wanting to be a nurse or scientist, but I have no personal gifting or interest in that. We all have an assignment and a passion, amen? No one is better than the next!
I pray you seek God and discover what He gifted you with to serve one another on earth. Maybe you like to cook, teach or dance, or you want to learn about health? Many of us have different things that excite us or make us feel that we are more alive than ever before. I’ve noticed that usually your passion is your purpose. Anything you feel like you need or want to change can also be a special calling God has given for you to tackle. God will confirm His Word to you and He also will open doors no man can shut. Amen? (Read Revelation 3, Isaiah 22, Psalm 139, Jeremiah 29:11.)
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)
God bless you, PI Girls! Comment below and let us know what you are called to do and where you feel Jesus wants you to spread light or the good news!
