Poll: If You Could Live in Another Time, Which Would You Pick?

It’s fun to daydream about the impossible, and one of our favorite theoretical things to think about is which other time period we would have loved to live in! Would you want to visit the past or your future? Would you rather see biblical times firsthand or glimpse another time period? Dress as a flapper girl in the 1920s or rock bell bottoms and huge sunglasses in the 1970s? Let your daydreams do the talking and fill us in on your most fun time-travel fantasies!

Tell us your choices in this week’s polls and then fill us in more in the comments below!

    1. 1800s period. Rugged handsome cowboys, riding horses alll freakin day (biggy) the beautiful dresses, the old fashion manners (biggy)…honestly dresses ain’t my thing, but I wouldn’t mind wearin them if it meant all the above but I’d also be that girl dressed as a guy every once in a while

    2. Definately Victorian, without a doubt. 1837 to 1901…
….save for the blantant racism, sexism, rampant disease, and lead-tainted of course!
The fashions were gorgeous and the inspiration for my own wardrobe. Dainty, beautiful, sophisticated, and above all modest!

      • Yes, I LOVE the way Victorian ladies dressed; their clothes were so beautiful and modest. Victorian guys dressed pretty handsome, too. 😉 And I would like being able to live when Arthur Conan Doyle was writing and get Sherlock Holmes stories in the magazines! But, you’re right about the other things. At least they had better morals, though. There was none of this controversy about homosexuality.

    3. I would’ve loved to be from the ’20s or the ’50s. I love the glitz, glamour, and partying of the 20’s right down to the jazz music and fashion. But I also really love the style of music and fashion from the 50s, as well as the whole drive-in-theatre concept as well as the diners and jukeboxes

    4. I’m in love with ancient history and am about to go to college majoring in archaeology and minoring in anthropology! I want to study egyptology and biblical archeology and anthropology!
So I would have to say ancient history!!!

    5. well, i couldve been born in ’45 but the truth is i got here right on time, lovely 1991 that;s the year that i come from and i wouldn’t wanna trade for another time ohhh i love this life

If you know what i’m quoting 😉

    6. I wish I could’ve lived in the time right after Jesus ascended into heaven so I could’ve experienced the Pentacost or been affected by it. I wonder what it would’ve been like living in Jerusalem or even in one of the other early churches. I think it would have been cool though sometimes scary.
