Your hair is a huge part of your overall “look.” Whether you go totally natural, dye it consistently or flatiron it daily, there are tons of options for how to style, wear and accessorize your mane. Changing your hair–even just choosing to wear it up or down–can change your entire style. Which got us curious about what kind of hair you have, how you style it and what you think about it!

Answer the three polls below and then give us more details in the comments below!

    Team Project Inspired
We here at Project Inspired want to guide and inspire teen girls to be true to themselves and to God. We want to show young girls how to be people of value and confidence – how to be your own best selves – through leading a Christian life. Who are we? We're a team of girls, like you. We edit the site, we post to social media, we hang out in the chat rooms and forums. We talk with you, we listen to you, and we love you!

    1. My hair is pin straight and brown but turns dirty blonde in the summer! My hair is only a couple inches longer than my shoulders and very thick. I don’t normally do fun hairstyles with my hair. The usual for me is a messy bun or ponytail.

    2. My hair is long and fine and dirty blonde/brown. I have dyed the tips pink before:) And teal… and red… and purple on top:) I used food coloring, and heat to set it in so it was natural:) But I usually just do the bottom half:) My hair is real long, but not as long as it used to be. It goes down to just above the small of my back:) And its layered, and parted on the side!

    3. My hair is chocolate brown and really curly (I straightened it and then curled it in my profile pic on here so it looks different haha)

It was black and pin straight when I was younger…then at 11 years old it turned into a curly mess haha. But I love my hair 🙂 My mom wants me to permanently straighten it, but I’m the only one in my family with curly hair so I treasure it! It just requires a little bit more effort.

In the summer, the sun turns parts of my hair like a deep redish brown.

    4. I like bun when my hair is at it curlyest. But when I flatiron it it put it hafe up. And when I faltiron it my hair comes just above my waist. But when it’s curly it come just past my sholders.

    5. My hair just doesn’t follow any rules at all. It’s a weird mixture of ALL the colors, with blond highlights (which is it’s natural coloring), and it’s not really any one style. It’s wavy in some places, curly in others, and perfectly straight in still others. It knots even as I’m brushing it! It ends about the middle of my back. (It’s getting so long!!!) I love it, but I’m ready to try something new. I’m thinking of dying it brown. I’m not chalking it currently, cause I didn’t have room to pack my pastels to leave for this trip, but a trip to Wal-Mart will hopefully fix that, and buy me my color. YAY!!! 😀

    6. I have natural “black girl” hair 🙂 It’s sort of long and pretty thick. I haven’t straightened it in a while but if I do my hair would probably be in the middle of my back. I love my hair but sometimes I just want to cut it all off so I won’t have to deal with it anymore! 😀

    7. My hair is naturally brown, but I dyed it redish-blonde for a school project. Yeah, that project was insane. but it’s naturally curly, to the extent where people ask me if I curl my hair.I smile and say no. I keep it down, half up half down, or all the way up. it looks best half up half down. The length is kinda the bottom of my shoulder blades.

    8. My hair is ridiculous! lol! I don’t even think they have a name for my color! It’s like blonde/light brown/brown – natural of course. It’s kindof got this glossy, silvery tint to it, and bleaches in the sun. It’s REALLY thick, and wavy/curly, depending on the day. It goes down to my shoulder blades. It takes a lot of work, but I wouldn’t trade it out for any other!

    9. My hair use to be really straight and shiny till i turned 12 when i dyed it and since then it got wavy and frizzy.
i have dyed my hair like 6 or 7 times since then, now its all fizzy and and It wont stay straight for to long after i straighten and i have to use many products that are supposedly working on my hair 🙁
Its not worth dying your hair!

    10. My hair is a dark brown (looks black when it’s wet). It’s pretty stick straight, especially when I blow dry it. 😉 It curls pretty easily, but I wish I had wavy hair, you can do so much with it!!–straighten, curl, scrunch, or leave it as is. Anyway, mine’s about 4 or so in. past my collar bone. I’ve had it long and short, but right now I love it long so I can do stuff with it! I love trying knew hairstyles. I usually do a pony tail, messy bun, 1/2 way up, or I twist or braid my bangs back and maybe add a bow. Did I mention I love bows?!

    11. my hair is like, two inches past my shoulders. It’s jet black, but bleaches a tiny bit so I get highlights in the summer 🙂
I’ve also considered dying my hair, just for fun though

    12. honestly, i think it’d be awful to dye your hair a different natural color, because then you can NEVER get it back to your exact natural hair color. i do have a couple bleached streaks at the front of my hair because i think it’s cool in an understated way, but my hair grows pretty fast and the highlights disappear within a few months.

    13. I couldn’t answer the second question correctly. My hair is completely natural when I say that the top layer is stick straight, and my bottom layer is wavy. 🙂 I did end up getting a perm to make my hair pretty much even.

    14. I actually have strawberry blonde hair…its between red and blonde. So I just chose blonde. I normally always have my hair curly. Just because I like it like that. Its rare you see it straight.

    15. My hair is somewhat dyed brown, the tips are the lightest. I have thick straight hair with bangs. its long so i could put it in a bun or leave it loose on casual days. I wanna cut it but i dunno how much -_-

    16. I have super super mega blonde hair! People ask if I dye it all the time. I like my natural color 🙂 but it’s very thin and fine, which is frustrating. It’s got some wave to it too. I’m jealous of all you thick-haired girls!

    17. I have dark brown (almost black) hair that’s really thick and fairly long and it grows really fast! I cut it just below my shoulders right before my birthday in March and it’s almost to my waist now. Just a couple more inches. I usually cut it about every six months. I have natural reddish highlights that you can really only see during the summer (a guy in my youth group even noticed it and he was so fascinated it made me laugh!), and I’m thinking about getting some highlights a few shades lighter than my natural color. The only thing I don’t really like about my hair is it has absolutely no volume and I have no money for any volumizing shampoos right now! Haha (:

    18. My hair used to be almost black but each year it has gotten consistently lighter. It’s a dirty blonde now. I wear it halfway down my back and it’s really curly when wet but it straightens out to wavy as it dries. I usually don’t do anything with it, because it’s really stubborn and will just do whatever it wants… but I like it. 🙂

    19. My hair is brown. it’s wavy, but it used to be straighter. I got blonde highlights once, but they’re almost grown out. i want to grow them out anyway because they’re so grown out that they dont look natural anymore, and if you work at disney (which i want to someday) your hair isn’t supposed to look unnatural. plus it costs money to keep on getting your hair dyed.
I like to donate my hair, and ive done it three times so far. so right now, my hair is about two inches past my shoulders.

    20. My hair is dark brown with bits if red and blonde (natural) and is stick straight (and extra thick). It falls just over my shoulders, but I’m about to get it cut so it will be shorter. I like curling it but my hair is not friends with the curling iron. I sometimes let it do it’s own thang. 🙂

    21. My natural hair color is dark brown. Looks black sometimes in darker lighting. I’ve had it dyed black professionally a couple times and have also had small parts of it bleached like when I had the tips dyed pink and before that when I got coontails on either side of my head. I’ve dyed it myself a few times. Two times I did it black and recently I dyed it with a red tint. I flatiron it all the time but it’s naturally extremely curly, frizzy and poofy. Currently the length is a little past my shoulders but I plan on growing it out long.

    22. my hair is naturally really kinky and curly since i am african american.but now i chemically straighten it with something called a relaxer, now i have straight co-co brown hair.

    23. I have super curly strawberry-blonde hair. When I was younger, I used to absolutely hate it and I’d straighten it everyday (which was SO damaging I later found out.) But in the last few years, I’m learning most people would love to have hair like mine. I’m grateful to God for making me so unique. I love my hair and wouldn’t trade it for straight hair(:
      Long live the afro-puffs. 😀

    24. My hair sometimes bugs me, I mean I love my hair color… It’s a rich brown that shines in the sun.. But it’s pretty wavy when I really would prefer strait and straitening it takes a while.. I know that God made my hair and he thinks that it is beautiful so I’m working on loving it too!

    25. My hair is dirty-blonde (more dirty than blonde, now) and curly underneath and frizzy throughout the day. Right now it’s just beyond shoulder length. Someday, I will dye it, but now’s not the time.

    26. I have brown hair with blonde highlights. I need a touch up though. My hair is straight most of the time unless I wash it and then it curls up. In the summertime, my hair turns red when its wet so yeah that’s my hair. 🙂

    27. My hair is dark brown and just past my shoulders. It only waves at the end. I used to straighten it all the time, but now I want to let it grow. I also had blunt bangs, but I’m growing those out too. Its a real pain in the butt!

    28. My hair is brown and almost to my waist. my picture is from awhile ago so it looks shorter. It always gets shorter when I curl it. My hair is wavy. I never use a straightener. I love my wavy hair!
