Pray With PI: Colombia Plane Crash, Ohio State Tragedy, Standing Rock Protests

Our Project Inspired community is a powerful network of believers. We want to bring awareness to events happening around the world that could use our prayers. Today we urge you to pray in response to the following current events.
A plane carrying 81 people crashed outside Medellin, Colombia, on Monday night. There were ten survivors. Among those onboard were members of Chapecoense, a Brazilian soccer team, as well as coaches, trainers and journalists. Please join us as we pray for the families of those lost. Read more.
A student at Ohio State University intentionally rammed a car into pedestrians on a busy campus sidewalk on Monday morning and then began attacking other students and faculty, injuring 11. A university police officer fatally shot the suspect within about a minute of the attack. Pray for the victims and safety in our country’s schools. Read more.
As many as 2,000 veterans plan to serve as human shields for Dakota Access Pipeline protesters near the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota. The Army Corps of Engineers said it would close off access to the protesters’ campsite by Monday, and the governor issued an evacuation order this week. Winter temperatures and harsh conditions are threatening lives and making the situation very dangerous. Please pray that this issue is resolved peacefully as soon as possible. Read more.
