In London this week, a knife-wielding assailant driving a sport utility vehicle mowed down panicked pedestrians and stabbed a police officer outside Parliament in a deadly assault, prompting the hasty evacuation of the prime minister and punctuating the threat of terrorism in Europe. The attacker killed a police officer, a British schoolteacher, an American tourist and a 75-year-old man, and injured more than 40 people. Please pray for the families of the victims and for London. The House will vote on the Republican-backed American Health Care Act (AHCA) after the original planned House vote was delayed after Republicans struggled to collect the votes needed to ensure its passage. President Donald Trump’s top advisers told House Republicans in a meeting on Capitol Hill on Thursday evening that the president felt the time had come for a vote on the AHCA—and that it should happen this week. The president says if the act fails to pass, then Obamacare will remain. Pray with us that our government will have wisdom in finding a solution that benefits Americans on this important issue of health care. Read more.
