So this is a pic of me taken about half an hour ago! I just washed my face completely, and actually applied a banana peel to help clear up my face, as it’s something new I’ve heard of! In an average day, I wear just foundation to cover up the marks as well as mascara. I like lipgloss because it adds a nice color. Reading through 15 pages of your stories of no makeup inspired me hugely! I want to be makeup free as well! I’m making a commitment to be that way, however, I would like to clear up my face a little first. Thank you all though! God has made some beautiful ladies! 🙂

    1. Wow does the banana peel trick really work? Let me know, because I wear mostly foundation and mascera too and I’d like to work on going make-up-less more often but would also like to clear up my skin more. I love trying natural remedies, so that banana peel thing sounds pretty good. 😉

    2. Thank you Liz! 🙂

Kellyn, yes the banana peel seemed to do really well! I did that for about 3 days, and then (when the bananas were gone ;)) I actually turned to Essential Oils. My mom sells them, not sure if you have heard of them, but they work FANTASTICALLY! I put Geranium & Lavender on at night, and every morning my skin gets clearer! I don’t wear foundation anymore (partly because I don’t have powder foundation) And only mascara and lipgloss now!

Thanks for the site Rebeca! I don’t actually drink milk (besides just in cereal) but I will check it out! 🙂

    3. Rebeca is right about the milk! Also, I’ve found that if you drink plenty of water, like nothing but water or the vast majority of water it will help your skin. And my worst skin enemy is dark sodas. I’ve just about quit drinking them for reasons like sugar content, but they’ve been replaced with water and my skin is much clearer. Chocolate can hurt it with some people too. 🙁 But you’re beautiful just how you are! Thanks for posting your picture and story!
