I never go a day without wearing makeup, unless I’m just lounging around the house or hanging out with my close family. I’m kind of a vain person when it comes to makeup, and think I look less than presentable when I don’t wear it. So this took a lot of courage and humility for me to do. Two of my very close friends told me I should at least try not wearing makeup. So here it is. I may have a bit of mascara on from the day before, but absolutely nothing else other than that. I love my hair, even though it’s really irritating sometimes, because I get it from my dad and my grandfather. I also really like my eyes and their color, though I feel the need to wear eye makeup a lot. I know that at least for me, this is a humbling experience, and I should be grateful to God for making me the way He did. Because even though I may not feel like I’m the most beautiful girl in the world, I know that I am fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. And I absolutely love that. ♥

Proverbs 31:30: “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.”

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” ~ Paraphrase from a quote by Plato.

    Team Project Inspired
We here at Project Inspired want to guide and inspire teen girls to be true to themselves and to God. We want to show young girls how to be people of value and confidence – how to be your own best selves – through leading a Christian life. Who are we? We're a team of girls, like you. We edit the site, we post to social media, we hang out in the chat rooms and forums. We talk with you, we listen to you, and we love you!

    1. darling, i absolutely ADORE and respect that you did this. it’s really hard for girls these days to make themselves this vulnerable, and i’m so happy that you went against the crowd and did this (after all, a conductor has to turn his back on the crowd to lead the orchestra :] ) you’re absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. ily sis!

    2. Your hair is gorgeous! I love curly hair! Love that verse! Keep it in your heart, because beauty surely shines from the inside out!…. You look like such a happy person, Keep smiling beautiful 🙂

    3. Baby Girl you are the most couragous young woman i know…and you are beautiful. God is so proud of you as am I, for taking off that mask and showing the real art piece God created..i love ya girl!

    4. you are soooooooooo gorgeous. i used to be that way too, i had people waiting for HOURS just to go to WALMART ahaha. it was because i was always told i was never beautiful, so id make sure that when i went out, they wouldnt be ashamed of me and maybe they wouldnt say i was ugly infront of everyone in public. but you have people who are telling you that you are BEAUTIFUL! listen to them. because u are beautiful. and not just because god made you that way, but because just through a picture i can tell that you are very caring and sweet and very very brave. dont ever let anyone tell you any different.

      xoxo, Jessica <33

    5. Even though everyone’s already said this… I love your hair! (: haha. My best friend has hair like that. ^_^ I usually wear make up when I go places, and I’m starting to feel naked without it. D: God made us the way we are and we should accept ourselves. <3 Thank you for posting your picture, and stay BEAUTIFUL! My goodness! (:

    6. This is ironic. My name is Sarah as well and you might as well had been describing me too! I only walk out of my house w/o makeup when I am going for a walk early early in the morning when nobody else is around. I think the least amount of makeup I’ve worn in public (when I knew I was going to see people) was base, concealer, eye liner, and mascara; and that was for an American Heart Association Walk! So, yes, I too am pretty vain with makeup. I just don’t feel like people would nOt judge me, ya know? Especially since I just moved to a new place and my face has broken out like 70s disco dance moves. Psalms 45:10-11 has been my encouragement in this area (self confidence, not dancing). I’m continually growing thanks be to God. But I’m still wearing alot of makeup but I’m keeping it natural looking. I may not have the strength to go without makeup yet, But I’ll get there someday! <3 🙂
