Selena Gomez Rocks Red and We Match Last Week’s Modest Favorite!

Christian author and spokesperson Jason Evert once stated, “When a woman veils her body in modest clothing, she is not hiding herself from men. On the contrary, she is revealing her dignity to them.” If you can understand the truth and beauty in his words, you will understand the significance of dressing modestly. Sure, we are called to not cause others to stumble, and this is the case when it comes to men and immodesty, but modesty is also about revealing yourself as a dignified person. A woman of worth. A woman of God.
With that noted, let’s check out this week’s selection!
And don’t forget this week’s matchup!
This is a fun and colorful ensemble. I love the mix of red and pink, and the fitted look is feminine. I do wish the pants were a tad looser around the hips and thighs, however. The embellished top and belt are a a glitzy touch!
Here’s a gorgeous gold embellished dress with glam sparkle and fun 1920s-inspired tassels. The round neckline and cap sleeves are both modest and chic.
This red jumpsuit is very simple in design, but the crisp, monochromatic feel is so classic. If you find this look a bit plain, consider adding a little black belt tied loosely at the waist.
Now for our modest matchup!
Last week, Odeya Rush’s radiant gown won our Modest Is Hottest poll, so I went in search of a similar dress that could help you get her look!
Let’s be honest, Rush’s gown is not something we can wear more than once, if we get to wear it at all. So I have a match that you can wear more often. This dress shares the embellished bodice and tulle skirt. The length is shorter and the color lighter, but you can add a cute black tie at the waist for a closer match. This dress can be worn at any formal occasion, such as a Christmas or New Year’s party or graduation. So, what do you think?
